RATS very own 'Scottish Play'!
The All England Festival is an annual national One-Act drama festival creaming the best in amateur theatre from over 100 regional qualifying rounds. The winner then proceeds to the British Final Festival to be pitted against the best of Scotland, Wales and Northen Ireland. The Festival has a long heritage, as have RATS in it, but this time was a little bit different....
After 1700 miles travelling, far too much frantic nervous pacing, countless broken tennis rackets (one broken ankle), a hell of a party to round it off and, well, anyway, we won!
The highlights really are too numerous to mention but here goes...

RATS originally performed Ball Boys as part of a presentation of three one-act plays (with The Cagebirds and War) as Theatre Of The Slightly Absurd in May 1993. The original Ball Boys cast had David Purcell taking the role of Rupert but he was unfortunately unable to make the date of the first Festival performance the following February.
